Colors of the Rainbow

Before we had airplanes and astronauts, we really thought that there was an actual place beyond the clouds, somewhere over the rainbow. There was an actual place, and we could go above the clouds and find it, there. -Barbara Walters

High Key and Low Key

High Key:

 Low Key:

Looking at these photographs, I realize the differences between high key and low key photographs.
High key photographs have little contrast in value and shows an even lighting throughout the photo. Low key photographs however show strong usage of shadows.

Reflection

“A lake is a landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.” ―Henry David Thoreau

Texture

Pinhole Photography: Shipwrecked

One thing that stood out was the details of the shadow and how it emphasizes and enhances the image of the ship. I also like the background of the picture because it holds so much texture and value.
"Seeing that a Pilot steers the ship in which we sail, who will never allow us to perish even in the midst of shipwrecks, there is no reason why our minds should be overwhelmed with fear and overcome with weariness." -John Calvin
